Hotwire offers deeply discounted travel packages. However, the way they are able to do this is by assuring the airlines and companies they work with that no changes will be made. This means they have an inflexible refund policy. So, if you are sure about your plans, Hotwire is a sure bet for savings.

How Hotwire Works: Hotwire will make you a quote good for an hour, but certain details will only be shown after you complete a purchase: the airline name and flight times; the hotel name and street location; or the rental car company name. Be assured however, that Hotwire only works with brand name travel companies.

Airline Tickets: Hotwire will never issue you a ticket with more than one connection, unless you say so -- and you'll always have the option to avoid a red-eye when flying within the continental U.S. 90% of Hotwire domestic connections are scheduled for less than two hours.

Hotels: You choose the city and the star quality of the hotel you want to stay in.

Car Rentals: You choose the car type and size.

Travel purchases made on the Hotwire site can be paid for with the following major credit cards: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.

We do not recommend using any form of debit cards for purchases on our site because of the restrictions these cards may present (e.g., limitation on the number of daily transactions, daily spending limits). Hotwire does not currently accept any other methods of payment.

Return Policy
All purchases made on Hotwire are final and cannot be cancelled, refunded, changed, exchanged or transferred.

Change fees are not an option.

If our travel partners can be absolutely confident that the products they sell through Hotwire will be used in the exact way they were sold, they can offer deeply discounted airline tickets, hotel reservations and car rental reservations. These restrictions enable our partners to better manage their unsold seats, rooms and cars and it is a big reason why we can offer you great deals.
